What the Assistant Can Help With

The CIOS assistant is purpose-built for attendance and schedules. It won't answer general questions, and it can only act within the list below — this keeps its answers accurate instead of guessed.

Get user details

Looks up the details of the logged-in user — name, email, position, and department.

Fetch recent clock records

Pulls your 10 most recent clock-in/out records, including the geofence for each one.

Perform clock in / clock out

Clocks you in or out — only after you confirm, and only while you're inside an authorized geofence.

Get monthly hours report

Calculates total hours worked, completed shifts, and whether you're still clocked in, for a given month.

Get active schedule for a date

Shows activity, location, and time for one date at a time (today by default), plus whether you're assigned to it.

Get schedule verifiers & CIO editors

Tells you which roles can verify schedules or manage clock-in/out records — names on request.

What it can't do

  • Answer questions unrelated to CIOS (general knowledge, small talk, etc.)
  • Create, Edit, or delete a schedule
  • View another employee's records or hours
  • Generate exportable or downloadable reports
  • Change your profile information
  • Provide weekly or yearly totals, or any figures it hasn't explicitly calculated via a lookup

For anything outside the list above, use the relevant CIOS page directly or contact your schedule verifier / clock-in-out editor.
